LASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE
Your guide to keeping your eyelashes looking fluffy, clean, and long-lasting
Taking care of your lashes at home is the key to keeping them looking good and feeling better.
At Lucky Duck Lashes in Virginia Beach, I focus on creating beautiful, damage-free lash sets. Proper aftercare is what keeps them looking their best between appointments.
The good news is that it is simple and only takes a few minutes a day.

The Golden Rules
• Wash your lashes every day
• Cleanse at the sink, not in the shower
• Cleanse after showering and before skincare
• Keep your lids relaxed while cleansing. No squinting
• Work on one eye at a time
How To Clean Your Lash Extensions
-
Remove makeup first. Use an oil-free liquid makeup remover with your cleansing brush. Avoid wipes, cotton pads, cotton balls, and washcloths.
-
Apply lash cleanser. Pump cleansing foam onto your hand or directly onto your eyelid.
-
Clean the lash line. Use your brush to gently work cleanser through the lash line, lashes, eyelid, and under-eye area.
-
Adjust your angle. Turn the brush perpendicular to the lashes to clean between the lash line.
-
Rinse thoroughly. Flush with water using a squeeze bottle.
-
Dry and fluff. Use a handheld fan or hairdryer on low and cool while brushing through with a clean spoolie.

What To Expect
Lashes shed daily as part of their natural growth cycle.
It is normal to see extensions shed with a natural lash when washing or brushing.
To qualify for a fill, about 40% of your extensions should still be present when you arrive.
If fewer than 40% remain, a new full set will be required.
If you are unsure, you can always send a photo before your appointment.
Taking care of your lash extensions does not have to be complicated.
A simple daily routine will keep your lashes looking fresh, full, and beautiful between appointments.
